A 13-year-old Class VIII student Shiva Kumar Prasanna, who was flying a kite along with his friends on a terrace on Saturday evening, fell from the terrace of a four-storey building after a dog pounced on him.
The incident occurred at 5 pm in Nagole after Prasanna and his friends went to the terrace of their adjacent building.
Prasanna was busy flying the kite when suddenly his friend’s dog tried to attack him. He panicked, left the kite, shouted for help and started running to escape the dog. In the process he fell from the parapet wall on a roof of a house beside the side of the building, police said.
Following the incident Prasanna’s friend Mahesh informed his father Venkateshwarulu who rushed the boy to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead, the victim’s uncle Phani Kumar said.
