An elderly woman staged a protest with a petrol bottle at the Nagireddypalli gram panchayath office in Maddur mandal, Narayanpet district. The woman, identified as Padmamma, protested against the officials for not granting permission to construct a house on her patta land, which she had sold to another person.
Padmamma explained that she sold the land, originally belonging to her late husband, to a villager after her sons failed to care for her. However, her sons have been obstructing the new owner from constructing a house on the property.
