The final and seventh phase of the 18th Lok Sabha elections began at 7 am on Saturday, concluding the largest democratic exercise in India and the voter turnout was at 11.31% till 9 am, as per the Election Commission of India (ECI).

This phase involves voting for 57 parliamentary constituencies across eight states and union territories, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi among the candidates. The voting process marks the end of a nearly two-month long poll campaign, and the results will be declared on June 4, 2024.

In the seventh and final phase of the general election on Saturday, polling is being held for 57 constituencies spread across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, including Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking a third consecutive term in the Lok Sabha.
