After successfully setting up a rooftop solar plant on the Chief of Planning office (CPO) situated at the Integrated District Offices Complex (IDOC), the district administration is now contemplating to run the entire Integrated District Offices Complex on solar energy.

The district administration has reportedly contacted the Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO), which has set up a pilot solar plant at the CPO in the district, for installing solar panels on the IDOC. Sources say the estimated cost of the project would be around Rs. 95 lakh for a 10 KW solar power plant.

District officials claimed that since the State government has taken a decision to install rooftop solar plants on all the government buildings, the funds would not be an issue.
