The Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana conducted raids on two clinics operated by quacks in Wanaparthy and Narayanpet districts and seized illegal stocks of drugs that were stored for sale.

Based on specific alerts, drug inspectors from DCA raided the facilities of two individuals who were practicing medicine by falsely claiming that they were allopathic practitioners.

The first raid was conducted at a clinic that was operated by an unqualified medical practitioner (quack) Md Nawaj Miya at Pangal mandal, Wanaparthy district. The TSDCA authorities seized 28 different varieties of medicines that were illegally stored for sale.
