A fire broke out in a few shops at Monda Market, Secunderabad on Thursday morning. While property gutted, no casualties were reported.
According to fire officials, the fire started at a shop where ‘Puja’ material is sold. The fire then spread to adjacent shops, including a plastic material shop. Total four shops were gutted in the incident.
Due to the presence of combustible material stored at the shops the fire spread rapidly. Fire tenders rushed to spot and doused the flames. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
However officials suspect the fire started due to a short circuit. Investigation is going on.
