BRS corporators boycotted the farewell meeting of the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation in protest against Mayor Y Sunil Rao’s attitude.
As the term of the present council concluded on Tuesday, a farewell programme was conducted to felicitate all corporators. It is a tradition for the Mayor to felicitate council members by wearing the ceremonial Mayor’s gown.
However, Sunil Rao, who recently joined the BJP, felicitated corporators by wearing a BJP scarf on his shoulders. Following this, BRS corporators boycotted the ceremony.
