Suspected movement of a tiger has forced the management of a private school to close the institution for a day in Bellampalli on Saturday.
Management of Sri Chaitanya School announced a holiday for the institution considering the movement of the tiger on the outskirts of Bellampalli town. It was learnt that the management made this decision as part of its measures to prevent possible attack by the tiger on the students.
Forest officials said that a female tiger, which drifted towards the district from Tiryani of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district in search of territory recently, was roaming on the edges of Bellampalli town. They said that they were tracking the movement of the tiger by deploying animal trackers, besides taking steps to prevent human loss.
