Alleging that the school management arbitrarily hiked fees from 30 per cent to 50 per cent, parents of Zee School, Hayatnagar, have hit the streets and protested the hike, leading to the traffic jam on Vijayawada Highway, here on Saturday.
With placards, which read ‘unethical fee hike’, ‘make future not money’, parents raised slogans demanding justice from fees hikes. They lamented that without consulting the parents, the management unilaterally hiked the fee.
Speaking to press persons, a parent said initially the management agreed to relook into the fee hike. “But now the management is not responding to the issue and asked parents to speak to the principal. We have already complained to the DEO and higher officials. We want the government to immediately step in and resolve the issue,” he said.
