The Gram Sabha initiative of the Andhra Pradesh has garnered global recognition.
The Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department, headed by AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, has said that it has set a world record within 100 days of coming into power by conducting Gram Sabhas in 13,326 village panchayats across the State in a single day.
According to a statement from the Jana Sena Party, the World Records union organization recognized the Gram Sabhas conducted by the Panchayat Raj Department of Andhra Pradesh on August 23 and has awarded an official certificate and medal for the achievement.
