Congress’ Nampally candidate Feroz Khan has been booked by the Hyderabad police for allegedly offering an amount of Rs 1 lakh to a voter.
The case has been booked under sections 171C (involving threats and inducements to voters), 188 (disobedience to orders duly promulgated by public servants) and 123 (offences related to corrupt practices during the election period) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
Ahead of the Telangana assembly polls, police and other officials conducted a search at the house of Feroz Khan, the Congress candidate from the Nampally Assembly constituency on Tuesday night.
