Jharkhand governor CP Radhakrishnan got the additional charge of Telangana, replacing the Tamilisai Sounderarajan.

The orders were issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. Radhakrishnan’s appointment marks the third instance of Telangana having a governor from Tamil Nadu. The first governor, Narasimhan, and the second governor, Tamilisai Sounderarajan, were also from Tamil Nadu.

Radhakrishnan, a two-time member of parliament from Coimbatore as a BJP candidate, assumed the governorship of Jharkhand in 2023. Outgoing governor Tamilisai resigned on Monday and is expected to contest elections in Tamil Nadu.
