The first Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra commenced its journey from Secunderabad on Monday, carrying devotees to Prayagraj for the once-in-144-year event. The journey is part of the Bharat Gaurav initiative by Indian Railways, which promotes the country’s rich cultural heritage through theme-based tourist circuits.
The train will cover key religious sites, including Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya, over a duration of seven nights and eight days. The initiative is a part of the ongoing Maha Kumbh festivities, which have drawn lakhs of devotees from around the world.
