In a rare catch, the fishermen at a mini harbour in Andhra Pradesh caught a giant 1500 kilo fish and had brought it out from the waters with the help of a JCB on Tuesday.
The mini harbour was located in Antarvedi Pallipalem in Sakhinetipalli mandal of Konaseema district. The 1500 kg fish has been identified as a Giant oceanic manta ray, the species is listed as an endangered one by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and is closely related to sharks and even dinosaurs.
