HMDA commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmad and Water Board MD Ashok Reddy visited Kokapet and Neopolis on Monday to plan for future water needs in these areas which are growing rapidly. They inspected sites for building reservoirs and water infrastructure.
At Neopolis, they reviewed land allocated for a balancing reservoir and pump house. The plan is to bring water from the Godavari Phase-2 project to the Khanapur reservoir and distribute it to nearby areas using gravity. Officials were asked to finalise the required plans for this.
