The assurances by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and HYDRAA that real estate ventures with valid permits would not be demolished have infuriated displaced families who lost their dream homes despite having proper documentation.

Families and homeowners in Erla Cheruvu and Sunnam Cheruvu, whose houses were demolished by HYDRAA, are now demanding answers from the State government. They questioned who would compensate for their losses and whether HYDRAA had the courage to justify the demolition of their homes. “Despite providing all necessary legal documentation, our homes were demolished without any compassion. Now that the damage is irreversible and we’re left homeless, the Chief Minister and HYDRAA are assuring everyone that houses with valid permits won’t be demolished. So, who will compensate us for the destruction we’ve endured?” members of displaced families in Erla Cheruvu asked.
