BRS working president KT Rama Rao paid rich tributes to Konda Laxman Bapuji, recalling his pivotal role in the Telangana movement and his lifelong dedication to people’s causes. He termed Bapuji as a “people’s fighter” who sacrificed his ministerial position in 1969 to join the cause for Telangana’s statehood.

Speaking on Bapuji’s birth anniversary here on Friday, Rama Rao said Konda Laxman Bapuji’s pivotal role, from the India’s freedom struggle to the Telangana statehood movement, is unparalled, inspiring generations of activists. He noted that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, under K Chandrashekhar Rao’s leadership, was founded in Bapuji’s residence, making his legacy inseparable from the eventual achievement of Telangana State.
