A woman died in a leopard attack on Tuesday in Nandyal and the deceased was identified as Shaik Mehroon Bi, the former vice-sarpanch of Pachharla village in the Nallamala forest area under Sirivella mandal.
The leopard attacked her when she went into the forest to collect firewood. When she hadn’t returned by evening, her family members searched for her in the forest. They found the leopard attacking her, inflicting fatal wounds to her head with its sharp claws.
